DERT recently worked with students from The Parsons New School for Design to create a series of children’s book that feature the fables of Aesop.

These books were designed as part of DERT’s social entrepreneurship model that activates books as fundraising tools to help fund literacy charity. The 15 class team works to create a series of hardcover 24 page color books that takes a 21st century perspective of these classic stories.

Students used a wide range of approaches to illustrate the books. From water color applications, to hand drawn illustrations as well as incorporating photography (both found and original).
